A few weeks after she passed my hubby was away on business and the house just felt really empty. I started to look for kittens available on the net when I came across two of the cutest kittens and I fell in love with them right away.
See what I mean - How could you resist these two cuties. Well, I forwarded the pictures to my hubby and he agreed that we could get them both. I contacted the lady who had them and when Scott got home we hopped the ferry to Nanaimo to go and pick them up. That was the start of a new love that helped let go of the hurt of the old love.
The boys just turned 2 in March of this year. They are a Ragdoll Himalayan Cross. Riddick is a poly-dactyl which means he has extra toes. He is a seal point so his paws are dark which makes him look like he is wearing little oven mitts. His brother Mowgli is a seal point as well but he is mitted so he has the white paws and the streak of white across his nose.
They both have very unique personalities differing quite a bit from each other. Riddick is a constant whiner - while Mowgli barely makes a peep. Mowgli is quite like a dog in that he likes to play fetch with specific toys and brings his leash to you to let you know he wants to go for a walk. Yes we take our cats outside for walks - mostly they walk us but we all enjoy it none the less.
As much as we were sad to let Felicia go - we are happy to have these crazy, new boys in our lives. My mom always tells us we have such naughty children - since they are always getting into some kind of mischief. I think it is the fact of having two - they egg each other on to do things I am SURE they wouldn't do if they were by themselves. Yes, at times they are like having children, but we look forward to the many years ahead that they will be a part of our family.
Well, I guess I should go and start some laundry and cleaning now. Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned to see how long I can keep this blog thing going.......
What about you are you more of a cat or a dog person?
